Therapy Session: The Finale
So, yes, you read the title right. The Finale.
My therapist Dr. Jessica said we can take a break because I am making outstanding progress with my anxiety and that if need be we can meet but she wants me to continue practicing what we've been discussing. All in all I know I've been progressing because as I stated at the beginning of these sessions that I was going to help her help me.
I promised myself that I was going to see my therapists every other week and I did just that, I promised myself that I was going to improve my gut health because that has an effect on your mood and I did just that, I promised myself that I would also meditate and do yoga annnnnnd journal...I did just that and still do it sparingly but I journal very consistently my free trial was up and now I'm debating on paying for the app and trying to fit it into my budget.
All in all I took the steps to help her help me.
Now, does this mean I stop practicing self care? NO
This simply means that I have a grip on my anxiety (kinda) and that if I continue to practice these exercises my anxiety will not have control over me.
